The 2024 range of apparel and merchandise for “NZ’S BEST BIG BOAT REGATTA” is available to pre-order now. Get your orders in to get your crew decked out in official BOISW gear. There are rash shirts, t-shirts, polos, caps and sun hats, as well as the ubiquitous stubbie holder.

You can even make these your official team shirts by adding your boat name to the back for $10 per item. Our apparel supplier DD Gold in Kerikeri is taking pre-orders now via their website, or email logo@ddgold.co.nz or call 09 407 1527.

You can order right up to – and even after – the event, and you’ll also be able to purchase from a limited selection at Regatta HQ throughout the week, but you’d be well advised to pre-order to be sure you get the styles and sizes you’re after.

Last Chance for Early Entries – Closing 31 December

If you haven’t entered AND paid yet, you have just 10 days left before the early entry cut-off! Even though you can still enter after 31 December, it pays to get your entries in before the deadline so that you can:

  • Avoid the late entry fee of $100 which is added to all entry fees paid after 31 December
  • Go into the draw to win a Gill Offshore sailing jacket from Burnsco
  • Help our volunteer race management crew plan the best regatta.

Thanks to everyone who recently got their entries in, and especially those who heeded the call for more windward leeward racers in our Open Racing divisions. B Division is now looking healthy with some solid competition in there, C Division has the minimum required for a series but both C and A divisions are could do with a few more entries at this stage.

We know it can be tough finding enough crew to sail windward leeward and contest three races a day on bigger boats, but these divisions do need your support if they’re to continue. Please keep showing your support to these divisions and let’s see some world-class competition in the Open Racing fleets!
