How to get there – and back again

Explore’s scheduled ferries from Opua, Paihia and Russell are the easiest and safest way to get out to the BOISW Beach Party and back again, especially if you’re planning to partake in a few adult beverages.

There’s an incredibly special price of just $30 return – a big saving on the usual return ferry price of $60 and includes ferry and entry for access to live music and our bar & cafe facilities during the event.

Ferry departures have been known to SELL OUT so we recommend booking early to secure your spot.

There are a number of scheduled ferry departures to get you out to the island:

Paihia | Russell | Opua 

  • Paihia to Otehei Bay: Departs at 5:00 pm | 5:45 pm | 6:45 pm
  • Russell to Otehei Bay: Departs at 5:10 pm | 6:10 pm | 7:10 pm
  • Opua to Otehei Bay: Departs 6 pm | 7 pm

Returning from Otehei Bay to

  • Paihia or Russell: Departs at 8:30 pm | 10:00 pm | 11:00 pm
  • Opua: Departs at 8:30 pm | 11:00 pm
