Time is ticking away and there’s still plenty to organise – berths, crew, accommodation, bottom clean, get the boat to the Bay, provisioning… Need we go on? Join the other early birds and enter now. Remember the late entry fee is going up this year, so get your entry in before the end of the year.
IRC Racing – are you in?
We’re continuing to promote IRC racing, with the Nationals this year made up of three classes – Class One in A Division, Class Two in B Division, Class Three in C Division. This rating separation will enable yachts to compete against ‘like rated boats’.
We’d love to see big fleets in all IRC classes – contact YNZ to find out how easy it can be to get an IRC rating certificate for your boat – especially if you’ve had one in the past.
Gear Up for Bay Week!
In a blatant copy-cat of Hamo Race Week, we’re offering awesome prizes for the “Best Dressed Crew” at this year’s Bay Week. Whether you choose fancy dress or perfectly pressed matching crew shirts is up to you, but you’ve got to be in it to win it. So go on, have some fun! 🙂
LUNCHES: The Opua Store is doing lunches to order again – the pre-order form will be available closer to the regatta. Opua Store contact is 09 402 7575.
BAR TICKETS: Don’t let your crew go thirsty! Remember to buy some bar tickets when you get to the tent for Registration, and enjoy fast service at the bar.
ENTERTAINMENT: There will be music each night (except Registration Day) so come along Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings for fun, food and your favourite tipple.
